Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Health information is sensitive, and many places give you specific rights over it, such as the EU and UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD, and U.S. states including Washington and Nevada. This policy explains what health information the Delara app collects and how you control it.
What we collect
Only what you add, after you give permission on the "Your health data" screen:
- Symptoms you track and how strong they were, sleep, hot flash counts, and notes.
- The stage of menopause you choose, and your goals.
- Appointment details, the questions you plan to ask, and your notes about visits.
- Only if you turn them on separately: periods or bleeding, and private-section entries (vaginal, urinary and sexual symptoms).
Where it comes from
From you, in the app. We don't buy health data, collect it from other sources, or use location or geofencing.
Why we collect it
To show your history and trends, build summaries you choose to share, and show safety information that may apply (for example, that bleeding after menopause should be checked by a clinician).
Who receives it
Only our hosting and database providers, acting on our instructions under contract. We never sell consumer health data. We would ask for your separate permission before sharing it with anyone else.
Your rights
- See and download everything: You → Your data → Download.
- Delete everything: You → Delete account.
- Turn off optional tracking and delete those entries: You → Privacy.
- Withdraw permission for health data by deleting your account or emailing us.
You can also email help@mydelara.com. We respond within 45 days. You can appeal a decision by replying to it; we answer appeals within 45 days. If you're not satisfied, you may contact the data protection authority or consumer protection regulator where you live, such as your national data protection authority or your state Attorney General.
