Delara

Delara App Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Delara app. It explains what we collect when you create an account and use it, and the choices you have.

The short version

Who we are

Delara is operated by Delara Care. Contact us at help@mydelara.com.

What we collect

Account. Your email address, a password (we store only a secure hash), and your confirmation that you are 18 or older.

Profile. Optional preferred name and birth year, the stage of menopause you choose, the symptoms you want to track, your goals, and your time zone.

Health information you add. Daily check-ins (symptom intensity, sleep, hot flash counts, notes), and, only if you turn them on, period or bleeding entries and private-section entries (vaginal, urinary, sexual). Appointment details, questions, and notes you write. Details are in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Use of the app. Lessons you complete or save and the petals you earn. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.

Signing in with Google

You can create an account or sign in with your Google account instead of a password. If you do, Google shares only the basic information the sign-in needs: your email address, your name, and your profile picture, plus a Google account identifier. We request only the basic sign-in scopes (openid, email and profile). We do not ask for access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Google Fit, or any other Google data, and we never post or change anything in your Google account.

We use this information only to create and secure your Delara account and to recognize you when you come back. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to anyone except the service providers that run Delara's sign-in and hosting (see "Who we share it with"). We do not use it to train generalized artificial intelligence models, and no person reads it except as needed to keep your account secure or to follow the law. Delara's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can stop using Google sign-in at any time by deleting your account in the app. You can also remove Delara's access in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting your Delara account deletes the information we received from Google, as described in "How long we keep it".

How we use it

To run the features you use: show your history and trends, build summaries you choose to share, keep your place in lessons, and keep your account secure. We do not use your information for advertising or to make decisions about you.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that host the app, run its sign-in, and store its database, under contracts that limit them to running Delara. We do not share health information with anyone else unless you choose to (for example, by printing or sending your own summary), or the law requires it. If we receive a legal demand, we will require valid legal process, push back on overbroad requests where we can, and tell you when we are allowed to.

Where your information is processed

Delara is available worldwide. Our service providers may process your information in countries other than the one where you live. When we move information across borders, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, and the protections in this policy apply wherever your information is.

Security

Encryption in transit; the most sensitive fields encrypted with a key unique to your account; access limited to your own account by database rules; no admin screen that shows your health data.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it or your account. When you delete your account, your data is deleted from our live systems right away and from backups within 35 days.

Your choices and rights

In the app, under You: change your profile, turn optional tracking on or off, download all your data, or delete your account. You can also email help@mydelara.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Brazil, or parts of the United States), you may also have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your information, to object to or limit how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to appeal a decision. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

Delara is for adults 18 and older.

Changes

We'll tell you in the app before significant changes take effect.
